ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the characteristics, trend and influencing factors of occupational pneumoconiosis in Guizhou, and to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of occupational pneumoconiosis. Methods A total of 1 974 mining patients in Guizhou province were selected from 2019-2020 by stratified sampling survey method. According to whether they were accompanied by occupational pneumoconiosis, they were divided into control group (n=1218) and experimental group (n=756) to analyze the morbidity characteristics, changing trend and influencing factors of occupational pneumoconiosis. Results From 2019 to 2020, 756 (38.30%) of the 1974 mining people in Guizhou suffered from occupational pneumoconiosis, including 602 (79.63%) in stage I, 86 (11.38%) in Stage II, and 68 (8.99%) in stage III. The average age was (57.36±6.89) years, and the average length of service was (15.56±4.47) years. The onset age was mainly from 50 to 69 years, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=8.214,P2=25.429,P2=8.797,P2=27.212,P<0.05). There were significant differences in age, sex, smoking ratio, length of exposure to dust and complications between the two groups (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that age, length of dust exposure and complications were independent risk factors for occupational pneumoconiosis (P<0.05). Conclusion The occupational pneumoconiosis in Guizhou area is mainly male, the high incidence age is 50-69 years old, the development is stable, while the incidence of silicosis is increasing in recent years, among which the dust exposure age, age and complications are the high risk factors of occupational pneumoconiosis.

ABSTRACT

Objective To learn the various clinic characteristics of newly T tuberculosis (TB) patients ,investigating the preven-tion and treatment knowledge of TB patients ,in an effort to provide scientific evidence for targeted prevention and control meas-ures .Methods Retrospectively analyzing the common demographic characteristics of 648 newly and 434 old TB patients from Sep-tember 2011 to September 2012 ,diagnostic information ,the awareness on the prevention and treantment ,drug use situation and so on .Results Among these patients ,most of them were males(60 .2% ) ,the middle age and the young were the majority (77 .8% ) , the disease areas were mainly rural ones (61 .6% ) ,and manual workers (65 .4% ) ,secondary pulmonary TB was in the majority (72 .8% ) ,40 .0% (52/130) of the patients with TB pleuritis were accompanied by pulmonary TB .TB patients usually combined with pneumonoconiosis(8 .0% ) ,diabetes(3 .6% ) ,asthma(4 .3% ) and some other fundamental diseases .The old TB patients had more prevention and treatment knowledge about TB than those newly patients (P<0 .05) .The major source of newly patients about the knowledge were mainly from their relatives and friends (30 .3% ) ,whereas the old patients from teaching of medical care (36 .9% ) .The main reasons for irregular usage of medicine came from the lack of knowledge about the course period of treatment (45 .3% ) ,and the disappearing of TB symptoms (30 .8% ) .Conclusion In the less developed rural areas ,the young and middle aged males who mainly done physical work were the majority patients .These newly patients have little prevention and treatment knowledge about TB .Comprehensive hospitals played an important role in transmission of TB knowledge .In the process of educa-tion ,we should pay special attention on the following less known but essential points :mode of transmission ,protective measures , course period of treatment ,monitoring side effect ,giving out free medicine ,and the prognosis of TB .

ABSTRACT

Background and purpose: Regional lymph node metastasis was significantly associated with the prognosis of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This study was designed to compare paclitaxel liposome plus cisplatin (LP) with gemcitabine and cisplatin (GP) in patients with regional lymph node metastasis of advanced NSCLC as a ifrst-line treatment. Methods:A total of 55 patients were randomly assigned to receive either liposomal paclitaxel (175 mg/m2) and cisplatin (75 mg/m2) or gemcitabine (1 000 mg/m2) and cisplatin (75 mg/m2) every 3 weeks. Results:Objective response rate (ORR) of lung primary foci was 37.9%in the LP arm and 30.8%in the GP arm (P>0.05) and the disease control rate (DCR) was 91.3%and 80.8%respectively (P>0.05);ORR of regional metastasis lymph node was higher in the LP arm (44.8%vs 15.4%, P0.05). Conclusion: Liposomal paclitaxel plus cisplatin is superior to gemcitabine plus cisplatin with less toxicity and better tolerated, it deserves further research and clinic application for patients with regional lymph node metastasis of advanced NSCLC.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate antithrombotic and antiplatelet effects of Dragon's Blood,?-cyclodextrin inclusion of Dragon's Blood. Methods The methods of injection of adenosin diphosphate(ADP) into mouse tail vein, electrically stimulated arterial thrombosis in rats were used to evaluate the anti-thrombotic effects of Dragon's Blood and?-cyclodextrin inclusion of Dragon's Blood, respectively.Platelet aggregation(PRP or washed platelets) was tested according to Born's method. Results ?CYDB significantly protected against thrombosis caused by ADP on mice, and electrical stimulation on rats.In vitro?-cyclodextrin inclusion of Dragon's Blood inhibited AA,ADP,PAF-induced platelet aggregation. Conclusions The results suggest that compared with Dragon's Blood,?-cyclodextrin inclusion of Dragon's Blood has more potent anti-thrombotic effects on the thrombotic models, its mechanisms may be closely related to the inhibition of anti-platelet aggregation.?-cyclodextrin inclusion of Dragon's Blood can improve the bioavailability of Dragon's Blood.

ABSTRACT

With the illustration of the L-Arg-NO-cGMP pathway in penile erection, the researches on nitric oxide synthases(NOSs),which produce nitric oxide(NO)as the main messenger to control the process, has stayed in the spotlight.nNOS locates in neuroal tissues and eNOS is binding on the membrane of cavernous sinus endothelium with caveolin. The nNOS & eNOS are expressed constitutively. The activation of nNOS & eNOS is more dependent on Ca2+ concentration than iNOS,which is seldom expressed except in aged or pathological conditions. It is now clear that nNOS may initiate cavernosal tissue relaxation under the regulation of PDZ zone when transcripted, while phosphorylated eNOS may facilitate attainment and maintenance of full erection.iNOS expression stimulated by the cytokines may be beneficial(cytoprotective or anti-fibrotic)or deleterious(cytotoxic)according to the tissue environment.Gene therapies based on NOSs have attained a great deal of achievements in animal experiments and will promise a wonderful future.
